In honor of National Manufacturing Day, Rensselaer will be delivering an innovative, manufacturing-based program to area high-school students and Rensselaer alumns! Activities will include a keynote speech from Mr. David Chavern, the Chief Operation Officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and a panel discussion with Rensselaer Alumni Champions of Manufacturing. Each panelist will introduce their respective industry and answer questions such as "Why is manufacturing in the U.S. important? What careers are available within the manufacturing world?" Second Annual Rensselaer National Manufacturing Day is a collaboration between Rensselaer School of Engineering, Rensselaer alumni committee, local manufacturers, and regional economic developers with the main objective of changing the current perception of manufacturing in today's world.
